Under the cliff, weatherbeaten is my dear long-lost skull with two holes for eyes and evidence of a hole for the mouth |
Flowers in the air among the sound of mixers give off a faint fragrance |
The sky is filled with the sound of cars and the sound of bulldozers The smell of suspended iron claws suffocate me I couldn’t catch the last remaining voice of the countless heads Because the heads were blown to smithereens |
The bellybutton ties of babies flutter in the indecipherable wind |
Dead silence under the heavens The Kalavinka bird’s throat is parched Isn’t there something to drink? There they are There they are I see them Beyond my empty eye sockets There The tunnel-digging mole at the head works away And the mole crickets |
If you put them in your palm they move their four arms and legs like fish fins and like festival floats pull themselves to the shore beyond the mud They look like grasshoppers |
The field that those legless worms have planted grows vast |
Near the small spring purple spiderwort flowers grow and fill with dew at dawn |
The throat of the Kalavinka bird who sings more of tranquility for hell than heaven will be moistened |
